Stevan Ridley comes off PUP list

The Jets have activated running back Stevan Ridley from their Physically Unable to Perform list and have waived/injured wide receiver Chris Owusu.

Ridley, who has been rehabbing from a season-ending knee injury in New England's sixth game of last season, was eligible to come off of PUP last week against his former team but head coach Todd Bowles decided to go with Chris Ivory, Zac Stacy and fullback Tommy Bohanon in the backfield.

Bowles was asked after today's practice about Ridley's possible activation. "He's full speed," the coach said. "If we decide to do something with him, we'll be real comfortable."

Fantasy Impact:

Ivory is a bit banged up and Bilal Powell is out this week so the Jets may need Ridley's services. He'll be behind Ivory and Stacy.

Eagles to sign WR A.J. Brown to three-year extension

The Eagles and star WR A.J. Brown agreed to terms on a new 3-year extension for $96M, the highest for any WR in NFL history. He’s now under contract through 2029 & his total guarantee of $84M is also the highest.

Fantasy Impact:

The Eagles are not messing around with their top two receivers, inking this deal just 10 days after locking in DeVonta Smith. Jalen Hurts remains insulated with high-level talent.

Lions extend WR Amon-Ra St. Brown

The Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents. They agreed on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets four years and more than $120M, with $77M guaranteed.

Fantasy Impact:

Good move for the Lions, who lock in their No. 1 pass-catching option. They will still likely address the position in the NFL Draft, but that shouldn't impact St. Brown.

The Jets are trading QB Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos. The deal: Wilson and a 7th to Denver for a 6th.

Fantasy Impact:

It's hard to picture this prohibiting the team from taking a QB in the NFL Draft but it certainly insulates them a little bit if they end up unable to move up where they want. Wilson's dynasty SuperFlex value will at least improve in the short term.
