Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre remains uncertain about whether his record streak of consecutive starts will be extended to 298 regular-season games Sunday.

Favre has accepted the possibility his sprained right shoulder might not be healthy enough for him to play against the New York Giants.

"I'm probably as confused as I've ever been about whether I should play,'' Favre said. "I really don't know. Of all the games I've played during the streak where I've been injured, this is probably the most indecisive I've been.''

While he has participated on a limited basis in the Vikings' practices the past two days, Favre acknowedged he has been limited to the kind of light tossing captured by the media during the brief open access period Friday.

He did not throw in Saturday's walk-through.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Favre will have to demonstrate in a pregame throwing session that he's capable of making all of the necessary throws in the game plan for the coaching staff to allow him to play.
