When safety C.C. Brown's one, awful season in New York ...

When safety C.C. Brown's one, awful season in New York ended, he made it clear he felt like the scapegoat for all the Giants' problems. Now with Detroit, the safety has pointed out another problem with the Giants:

Quarterback Eli Manning.

Really.

Brown, now a starting safety with the Detroit Lions, told the Detroit media this week that Manning is erratic and prone to "bad decisions." And the implication was that could be an advantage for Brown and the Lions when they face Manning and the Giants Sunday.

"You never know what you're going to get with that guy," Brown said on Thursday. "You never know if he's going to come in and make bad decisions. You don't know if he's just going to have one of them Peyton Manning games where he lights you up."

Even with the back-door compliment at the end of that quote, Brown's comments were met with mostly eye-rolls and sighs in the Giants' locker room Friday. Justin Tuck smiled and laughed at the quote.

"I'll leave that one alone," the defensive end said. "There's a lot of things I can say, but I'll be the smarter guy here. Just let it be known that I laughed."

Fantasy Impact:

Manning can be inconsistent, but it's funny to hear Brown calling him out, since Brown isn't going to be grouped in with Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu anytime soon. Brown's comments will probably give Eli some more motivation, but he was already poised for a big week.
