There has been "speculation" that the St. louis Rams will call the Chargers about obtaining disgruntled receiver Vincent Jackson. This is just speculation rather than a report but the speculation came from an NFL source and the Chargers have acknowledged that "more than Seattle has called."
With Donnie Avery on IR and little depth or experience in the wide receiver corps, no team needs Jackson more than the Rams. A big target like Jackson would speed the development of Sam Bradford. In the wide open NFC West, the Rams could actually take a big jump with an improved passing attack and V-Jax would help Steven Jackson as one of the league's top run-blocking wideouts.
There's no doubt that the Rams need a WR to match with their multi-million dollar QB. This "speculation" makes sense but there's no confirmed report.
