Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Marc Colombo moved closer to a return to the starting lineup on Wednesday by going through an active practice.

According to coach Wade Phillips, Colombo moved well and ``did a lot'' with the first team. Colombo has missed the last seven games because of injuries to the left leg and ankle.

Safety Patrick Watkins, who has missed the last four games because of a sprained knee ligament, also practiced but in a limited role. Running back Tashard Choice, recovering form a concussion, was held out of practice but did go through an individual workout. He could practice on Thursday.
