A week after Jets WR Brad Smith recorded the longest play in franchise history on his game-changing 106-yard kickoff return against the Colts, he set the tone on the Jets' opening drive with a career-long 57-yard run on a direct snap that led to the Jets' first touchdown.

“Brad is an explosive player,” right tackle Damien Woody said. “We’re just trying to get him more involved. Brad can do a lot of things when he’s in the open field. You combine that with the people we have around him, Brad can do a lot of damage.”

The former Missouri quarterback didn’t have more than 31 yards from scrimmage in any game this season. But he made all the difference Sunday night.

“We’re going to feature (him) from here on out,” Woody said. “He challenges the defense a lot because you don’t usually see that type of athlete at quarterback. That’s something that the Bengals are going to have to figure out.”
