Titans WR Britt could miss 6-8 weeks

According to a league source, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt could be out for up to six or eight weeks with his injured right hamstring.

The loss of Britt is likely part of the reason the Titans went ahead and made the move Wednesday to acquire veteran receiver Randy Moss off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings.

Britt went down with 4:27 left in the first quarter, against the San Diego Chargers , on a deep ball thrown down the left side of the field from Vince Young. Britt was helped off the field by the medical staff while holding the back of his right leg.

Britt had enjoyed a career game against the Philadelphia Eagles the week before, catching seven passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns.

He has already been declared out for the Miami game on Nov. 14.

Britt said Wednesday he was feeling better after one day of treatment on the hamstring.

“It's amazing how one day of treatment can help you out,” Britt said Wednesday. “We've got great trainers, but right now we're working to get me back out there. I'm out for Miami, but we'll see after that.”

Both Titans coach Jeff Fisher and Britt have said the injury is not season-ending.

Fantasy Impact:

Welcome aboard Randy Moss... Britt's injury time frame makes it tough to get him back in time for fantasy playoffs. A lot is being made of Britt lately, who had a breakout game against Philly and was racking up TDs. But really, Britt was still a WR3 play for the most part and the biggest thing lost is the potential of what he was developing into.
