Titans want to get Chris Johnson more involved in passing game

Titans RB Chris Johnson caught only 36 passes for 232 yards last season, both career-lows for the five-year veteran. He caught at least 50 passes in two of his first four seasons, and the Titans want to get him more involved in the passing game again.

Fantasy Impact:

In PPR formats, Johnson has never finished lower than 12th, and given the arrival of Shonn Greene, there is some concern that he won't see enough touches to be productive. But Johnson is still far and away the most talented RB on the roster, so the team will want to ramp up his participation in the passing game. He caught 57 passes two seasons ago; we currently project him for 51 catches for 401 yards. The link leads to a video from beat writer John Glennon, and in it he says the team would like to run the ball 30 times a game, giving Johnson 20 carries and Greene 10. That's probably optimistic.
