Seahawks RB Chris Carson (personal) not with team

Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Wednesday that RB Chris Carson is away from the team dealing with a family matter.

Fantasy Impact:

Carroll did not provide details of the reason for Carson's absence. It is too early to sound the alarm on Carson for fantasy purposes, but his status in training camp is worth monitoring going forward. Carson is slated to assume the bellcow role in the Seattle backfield again in 2020 so any extended absence would open up substantial opportunity for Carlos Hyde, rookie DeeJay Dallas and sophomore Travis Homer. Former first-round pick Rashaad Penny (knee) lurks in the background but will likely start the year on reserve/PUP after undergoing surgery this offseason.
