Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) expected to play Week 8

After defeating the division-rival Rams in Week 6, the Cardinals extended their home losing streak on Sunday with a 30-16 loss to the Broncos.

It was another unremarkable performance on offense, which has put the spotlight on Arizona’s quarterback, Jacoby Brissett.

But Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur reiterated in his Monday press conference that the team is sticking with the veteran as QB1.

LaFleur said the team is moving the ball and the issues are collective, not just on Brissett. Beck is dealing with a back injury, the story said, so that could be the reason the team hasn't made a change. Brissett hasn't been a bad fantasy QB this season and leads the league in pass attempts with 282, which is due to the Cardinals trailing in games. Again, that's not a bad thing for your fantasy QB. But it seems like a matter of time before a change is made. The Cardinals have no reason to stick with Brissett as he's not the long term answer. The Cardinals have a nice matchup against a vulnerable Cowboys defense, and as the story pointed out, their bye isn't until Week 14.

Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show, "I think the players that could be on the move for the Colts are DeForest Buckner, Josh Downs, and Grover Stewart."

Schefter said the Colts don't want to trade Taylor but it doesn't necessarily mean they won't if the right offer comes along. However, Downs looks to be a different story. Schefter didn't talk about Downs in the clip, but he hasn't been that impressive this season for fantasy owners. However, the Colts are missing Alec Pierce which is likely a factor as Downs is best utilized in the slot. A trade of Downs means the Colts would ride with some combination of Allen, Treadwell, Dulin and Burks going forward. If the Colts do end up trading Taylor, someone will need to run the ball and next up are McGowan and Giddens. McGowan will likely the first crack at the RB1 role, especially since McGowan is the only other back besides Taylor to touch the ball this season.

Giants GM Joe Schoen tells reporters during his bye-week press conference RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. is being placed on IR with a hamstring injury suffered Sunday in the win over the Texans.

Related players: Cam Skattebo, Devin Singletary

It's not a long-term injury but he’s down four games. It does seem to sort out the Giants backfield a bit as Skattebo should be the main back with Singletary a change of pace and passing down back. The Giants may have to make a move for another RB after parting ways with Najee Harris, so we'll keep an eye out for that move. The Giants have a bye this week so there is plenty of time to sort out their backfield. Keep in mind, Skattebo is also dealing with a hamstring issue.
