Panthers fire HC Ron Rivera

For the first time since early 2011, the Carolina Panthers are no longer coached by Ron Rivera.

Carolina parted ways with the coach Tuesday, the team announced. Secondary coach Perry Fewell has been named interim head coach.

Fantasy Impact: 

A loss to the Redskins was the final straw most likely, but this was also something being projected to happen after the season. After a slow start, the team went to Kyle Allen at QB, who replaced the injured Cam Newton, and Allen rallied the team to a winning record (5-3) before the team's fourth-straight loss happened this past week. Last year the team was 6-2 before finishing 7-9.
