Packers WR Jayden Reed’s Week 1 status up in air with foot injury

Packers WR Jayden Reed is dealing with a left foot injury. Head coach Matt LaFleur said he is hopeful Reed can play Week 1.

Fantasy Impact:

Reed did not play against the Jets Saturday and is considered “day-to-day” with his foot sprain. LaFleur notes this is a different injury than the one that initially landed him on the non-football injury list. He hopes to have Reed back before the regular season starts September 7 against the Lions. Reed is currently our WR31. Any missed time for Reed opens the door for rookie Matthew Golden and Romeo Doubs.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) threw over 60 passes during a workout Saturday and was not limited on the types of throws he was making.

Fantasy Impact:

Stafford, who has yet to practice in camp, received an epidural for his back soreness. It seems to be helping as Rams head coach Sean McVay said after Saturday’s preseason win against the Cowboys, “Looking forward to progressing him back into practice on Monday.”

Stetson Bennett was the main quarterback Saturday, as the Rams also didn’t play Jimmy Garoppolo.

Jags’ Cam Little nails 70-yard field goal vs. Steelers

Jaguars kicker Cam Little nailed a 70-yard field goal at the end of the first half of Saturday’s preseason game against the Steelers.

Fantasy Impact:

It felt like only a matter of time before someone was successful from 70 yards. Unfortunately, Little doesn’t go into the record books since this is only the preseason. But he at least showed he has the leg for it. Little is our No. 22 kicker.

Tyjae Spears carted to locker room with apparent lower leg injury

Titans RB Tyjae Spears was carted off the field with an apparent lower leg injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Spears missed three games last season with a hamstring strain and also was bothered by an ankle sprain. Hopefully it’s not a serious injury for Spears but he limped to the sideline before being carted to the locker room. If Spears misses time, Tennessee’s running back room includes Tony Pollard, Julius Chestnut and Kalel Mullings.
