The Commanders are signing WR Jamison Crowder to their practice squad, sources say. The 2015 fourth-round pick returns to the franchise that drafted him.

Crowder would have really hit another level to threaten Curtis Samuel, who figures to get a lot of work out of the slot this season. Crowder could find his way onto the active roster but would simply be a depth piece.

WFT WR Terry McLaurin told reporters Wednesday that rookie wideouts Dyami Brown and Dax Milne do not play like rookies. "They’re like silent assassins," said McLaurin. "They don’t say much, but they do their job."

Sometimes it is best to keep your head down, mouth shut, and work. That appears to have helped Brown and Milne establish themselves in Washington. Brown is in line for a snap boost Week 1 if Curtis Samuel (groin) is out, while Milne is a dynasty stash and deep waiver wire watch in redraft leagues.
