Reporter Connor Hughes said after today practice that Malachi Fields has pretty much taken over as the WR2.

Hughes said the coaches love Fields and he keeps making plays. The team has high expectations for Fields this season, and he's pretty much out there with Jaxon Dart all the time at practice. Nabers should be the WR1 assuming he can get back to full strength, and he was in full-speed drills today, Hughes added in the same report. It looks like Fields has already jumped over Stayton and Mooney in the pecking order, but it's something to continue to watch.

Reporter Connor Hughes said last week Malik Nabers took part in drills in a red jersey, and today's practice was no contact but full speed. Nabers was out there for a handful of plays, according to Hughes. Nabers did look a little off and didn't look like he was bursting Hughes would add.
Nabers was happy to be back and it's a good sign he took part in drills that were at full speed. Hughes said he'll be sure to see how Nabers looks tomorrow and going forward. It makes sense for Nabers to be a little timid his first practice and he did make an impressive 20-yard leaping catch, according to reports.
