Jerry Jones Reiterates Commitment To Wade Phillips

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has not yet budged from his stance of staying the course with embattled coach Wade Phillips.

He reiterated that point again Tuesday on his local radio show, saying getting rid of Phillips, as many fans and media are demanding, would just be a temporary feel-good move.

He said both are in it together and there was no "Come to Jesus" meeting with Phillips on Monday.

Jones is still embarrassed and disappointed in this season and again apologized to the fans for the Cowboys' debacle.

Jones said he would be willing to sacrifice a year to get the Cowboys in position to win a title -- which might be his best reason to stick with Phillips and improve the team's fundamentals before making a coaching change in the off-season.

Jones also said he had no interest in acquiring receiver Randy Moss, who was waived by the Minnesota Vikings.
