Hines Ward expected to play

Hines Ward practiced for a second consecutive day, and Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said he has rarely if ever seen the veteran wide receiver look better in drills.

“He wanted to prove to everybody that he was healthy,” Arians said after practice today.

Ward got knocked out of last Sunday night’s 39-26 loss to the Patriots with a concussion.

He has since passed a battery of tests that players are required to take after sustaining a concussion and has not experienced any post-concussion symptoms.

Ward, barring a setback, will play Sunday against the visiting Raiders.
