Brian Daboll sounded a lot less sure of his answer on that one. The coach was given multiple opportunities to commit to Russell Wilson as the starter for Week 2 and repeatedly declined to do so.
“We’re going to get home and look at our game,” Daboll said when first asked about starting Dart in Week 2. “Collectively, we all have to do better.”

The countdown to Dart is officially on. The Giants said before the game there was a package of plays for Dart, but he never got into the game in Week 1. As the story said, the Giants offense was anemic, producing just six points and 231 yards of offense with Wilson at the helm. The story stressed there were multiple chances for Daboll to commit to Wilson for Week 2, but he never took the bait. We all kind of speculated Wilson would have a short leash, but the switch to Dart may be happening sooner than later based on this story. Dart is likely not a free agent in dynasty and superflex leagues, but even in one QB redraft leagues, Dart is worth considering as a QB2 stash as long as you have a roster spot.
