The Eagles are placing QB Jalen Hurts (blood clots) on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact:

This is ultimately the best move for Hurts and the Eagles. The most important thing for Hurts right now is to take care of his superficial blood clot in his calf. The Eagles discussed this with numerous doctors and experts and ultimately came to what was the best decision for all parties involved. This is about more than football right now for Hurts. It is unclear how long Hurts will be out for, but again, the important thing here is that he getting treatment and the Eagles believe this is treatable. As for the Eagles on the field, Tanner McKee will take over as the starting quarterback, beginning Sunday against the Panthers.

Steelers WR DK Metcalf (illness) was removed from the injury Saturday and is good to go for Sunday against the Buccaneers.

It was a good news, bad news deal for the Steelers, as they also added TE Pat Freiermuth to the injury report with a calf injury. As for Metcalf, the Steelers are fortunate to have him ready to go, as they've placed two wide receivers (Michael Pittman Jr., Roman Wilson) on injured reserve in the last week or so. Metcalf and Germie Bernard will lead the passing attack against Tampa Bay. In our half-PPR rankings, Metcalf is WR24, Bernard is WR31.

Late adds to the injury report are always tricky, especially with an injury such as a calf muscle. The Steelers kick off in the early window Sunday, so we'll know by late Sunday morning if Freiermuth is active. If not, it could be Darnell Washington seeing more looks over the middle. Freiermuth is currently sitting as TE12 on our half-PPR board this week.

Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt was not seen at practice during the open media portion and he will reportedly miss Monday’s game against the 49ers.

Fantasy Impact:

JCM has not practiced all week with a groin injury, an injury that has bothered him all season. Rachaad White and Austin Ekeler are the next two backs up, though Ekeler has been wearing a black, non-contact jersey in practice. If JCM does miss Monday, he’ll have an extra week of rest, as Washington has their bye next week.
