Eagles hope to have WR DeVonta Smith, RB Saquon Barkley back for Week 6

Indications are one, if not both, DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley have a shot to return against the Panthers.

Fantasy Impact:

It will depend on how the practice week goes, of course. In Barkley's case, with Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley out, will the Eagles have to bring in more backs to fill a void? If they do at some point this week, it could be a sign Barkley isn't ready to go, so that's something to keep an eye on. The Eagles passing game has really struggled this season but would be boosted by the return of Smith.

Kyren Williams has emerged so much as a receiver that he’s this team’s de facto No. 3 option behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, with 21 catches for 173 yards.

The story went on to say between that and his immense value as a pass protector to keep a 38-year-old Stafford upright, the Rams feel challenged to give Williams 20-plus carries in a game. That's why Williams is averaging just over 13 carries a game. In Week 4 against the Eagles he collected 10 catches. Williams also had 16 carries in Week 4, which was a season high for him. Meanwhile Corum has just 11 carries over the past two weeks after getting 10 and 12 in Weeks 1 and 2. Ideally the Rams would like more of a balance with carries between their backs while Williams gets the edge catching passes. Owners are hoping Williams is in store for another big game on Monday night in what could bet a high-scoring affair against the Bills.

Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley says there's no thought of benching Malik Willis at this point.

"We've played five games, and Malik is our quarterback."

Furones went on to post Hafley did not rule out the possibility of other major, wholesale changes on the bye. He didn't want to say yes or no as things will continue to be evaluated over the idle week. McCord is the backup. The Dolphins have a bye in Week 6 but Willis seems like he should survive any changes even after the bye as McCord won't necessarily give the Dolphins a better chance.

Saints: QB Tyler Shough has 'protective layers' on left hand

Kellen Moore was asked directly whether Tyler Shough's hand is broken: "It got banged two weeks ago and he's just wearing some protective layers there."

Fantasy Impact:

Shough put up his first clunker of the season in Week 5 throwing for just 96 yards and two interceptions. He did throw for 286 and a TD in Week 4. It remains to be seen how this affects Shough when he's back in action for Week 6. Owners may want to temper expectations for now and hopefully we get more information about the injury.
