The Redskins are placing RB Derrius Guice on injured reserve with a knee injury, per JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington.
Guice had surgery on his knee Thursday to repair a torn meniscus. Guice now can’t return for eight weeks. Adrian Peterson will move back into the starting role with Chris Thompson in the mix. It’s another unfortunate setback to Guice’s career after tearing his ACL as a rookie in the opposite knee. The Redskins will monitor Guice’s status after eight weeks to determine when he’ll return to action.
