Bears head coach Ben Johnson tells Jeff Joniak on ESPN1000 about the starting quarterback for Week 5 in Green Bay: "Tyson Bagent will be the guy. We'll go from there. We're in good shape."

Bagent was 25 for 34 for 268 and an interception against the Jets in Week 4, and was good enough for the Bears to get the win. Despite Keenum having a better statistical performance against the Eagles in Week 3, it's clear the Bears want the 26-year-old Bagent as their QB2 over 38-year-old Keenum until Williams gets back. The Bears travel to Green Bay in Week 5 in a game that was moved to the early window. Bagent should have a good chance to put up QB2 numbers against a Packers defense that has largely struggled this season.

Kyle Monangai has a thumb injury. He said he would have to get it looked at Monday. Did not know how he did it either.

Cronin's post went on to say that Monangai's last play was a third down run that came up just shy of the sticks. She said Monangai exited the field with 4:08 to play and didn't come back to the game. Cronin added what may be some good news in that Monangai spoke in a press conference setting afterwards. Most times if an injury is really significant, the team won't make the player available. We'll have to see if Monangai is able to get on the practice field this week. Signs are at least pointing in the right direction, but things can certainly change.

Receiver Tyreek Hill could be signing with an NFL team (possibly the Chiefs) very soon. There’s an issue beyond the status of his knee that could impact his availability.

Per the NFL, Hill remains under an active Personal Conduct Policy review.
