Colts QB Carson Wentz (foot) to have surgery

The decision has been made to undergo surgery and remove it. 5-12 weeks.

Related players: Jacob Eason

Fantasy Impact:

HC Frank Reich says Wentz had an old foot injury dating back to perhaps high school according to doctors. Over time, the broken bone came loose and caused pain. Reich said the decision on surgery was very clear cut for their doctors and outside doctors, according to the tweet. Other tweets on the matter have the Colts optimistic Wentz can return on the earlier end of the timeline. Wentz will be able to throw during walkthroughs and the team added in 2-3 weeks they should have a better idea of Wentz's overall timeframe. For now, Eason is the team's QB1.
