Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) expected to practice Wednesday

The Detroit Lions said WR Amon-Ra St. Brown "should be good" for Week 8.

HC Dan Campbell said the plan is to sit St. Brown on Wednesday and get him back on the field on Thursday. While he said they expect him to be good for Week 8, it sounds like they will at least reevaluate on Thursday if he can indeed get back on the field for practice.

As the Ravens turn the page to their Week 8 matchup against the Bills, it’s unclear whether or not their starting quarterback will be back.

Lamar Jackson appeared to be on track to play in yesterday’s game against the Bengals until he wasn’t, with the team downgrading him to out on Saturday — even though the Ravens were playing at home.

The story said there was some reporting that the Ravens were “shocked” when Jackson was not ready to play on Saturday, Minter said that was “a little bit” of a mischaracterization of the situation. Jackson logged three limited practices last but was still unable to go. So owners may not have a good feel for Jackson's status - until he's actually out on the field. We'll continue to keep you posted heading into Week 8.

Cardinals wide receiver Jalen Brooks announced on social media that he will undergo season-ending wrist surgery.

“Have to get an emergency surgery on my wrist,” Brooks wrote. “I don’t need phone calls . . . just prayers. I’ll be done for the season.”

Brooks, 26, played 64 percent of the team’s offensive snaps on Sunday and made one catch for 35 yards before his injury. The trade of Marvin Harrison opened up more potential playing time for Cardinals receivers but Brooks won't be a factor this year.
