Bucs bring back K Connor Barth

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed kicker Connor Barth one day after releasing rookie Kyle Brindza.

The Buccaneers announced the move Tuesday morning on their official Twitter account.

Barth, 29, had a previous stint with the Bucs, making 91 of 108 field-goal attempts and all 110 extra points from 2009 to 2012. He began his career with the Chiefs in 2008, and he also played for the Broncos last season.

Fantasy Impact:

The Bucs signed Barth on Aug. 27 to a two-year deal to compete for the kicking job late in the preseason after he was released by the Broncos. But Brindza won the job after being acquired by Tampa Bay in a trade with the Lions, prompting the Bucs to release Barth on Sept. 5.
