Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (illness) sent home from practice

Anderson has now missed back-to-back practices due to an illness, but there doesn't appear to be any injury concern with the Broncos running back that might jeopardize him from playing against the New England Patriots this week. Still, this is a situation to monitor until inactives are announced.

Fantasy Impact:

In what shapes up to be a favorable matchup versus the Patriots, who are ranked 27th in RB aFPA, we currently have Anderson ranked as our No. 27 RB in standard leagues. If the illness he is suffering from is enough to keep him from playing this week, Devontae Booker would stand to benefit the most.

The Broncos' run game has been stale as of late, with only three rushing touchdowns scored by running backs this season—Anderson only has one (back in Week 2). Booker has been sprinkled in more the past two games, with a season-high six carries in each of the last two games. Anderson hasn't carried the ball more than 15 times in a game since Week 4. This is shaping up to be a potential timeshare situation.
