Brandon Marshall returns to MNF despite ankle injury

Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall returned to the game after injuring his right ankle in the second quarter against the New York Jets on Monday night. Held without a catch at the time of the injury, he made one catch for six yards in the fourth quarter.

The Bears initially said Marshall, who was questionable for the game with the ankle ailing, was probable to return but then downgraded him to questionable. The star receiver headed to the locker room midway through the quarter, but was back at the start of the second half. He caught a 12-yard touchdown pass on the Bears' opening possession, but the play was negated by a penalty.

Fantasy Impact:

It was probably a bit of a surprise he returned to the game, but it's obviously good news he did even if he was unproductive in terms of fantasy points. His status for Week 4 is in question, as it has been the past two weeks. Hopefully for owners his return to the game means he'll play in Week 4. The good news is it's an early game against the Packers, so owners will know his status about an hour before kickoff. We'll continue to keep you updated.
