Frank Gore watched replays of his 79- and 80-yard touchdown runs on TV a few times. But it wasn’t long before he was reaching for the remote.
“I kind of got tired of seeing the same thing over and over on ESPN,’’ the 49ers running back said today. “So I changed the channel.”
Instead, Gore seems intent on creating more highlights this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. A day after turning his right ankle, Gore walked around the locker room without any brace and vowed to be on the field for a showdown against Adrian Peterson in Minnesota.
“I feel all right. I feel great. I’ll be good,’’ Gore said.
Earlier in the day, Coach Mike Singletary said, “He’s got a little bit of a sore ankle, but I’m sure he’ll be fine. Going forward, it’s a day-to-day thing.”
