Week 2 of the NFL season wraps up with an NFC Showdown between the Giants and the Rams, who play their first game at SoFi Stadium this season after opening the year in Melbourne. Kickoff is 8:15 p.m. ET, and the Rams are favored by 6.5 points at home, with the total set at 47.5 points.

The Rams’ offense comes into this one after a 27-7 loss to the 49ers in Melbourne, where Matthew Stafford threw for 155 yards with no touchdowns and an interception a year after leading the league with 4,707 passing yards and 46 touchdown passes. The bigger question is Puka Nacua, who caught 129 passes for 1,715 yards last season. Nacua is listed as questionable with a hip injury after missing practice Friday and Saturday with what Sean McVay called groin soreness, and weekend reporting had him trending toward sitting. I’m going to assume he’s out. That leaves Davante Adams, who scored 14 touchdowns in 14 games last season, as the clear top receiver. Kyren Williams ran for 1,252 yards and 10 touchdowns a year ago and had 11 carries for 41 yards and a score plus three catches in Week 1, while Blake Corum had 10 carries for 54 yards. The one game Nacua missed last season, a 35-7 win over the Jaguars in London, is worth remembering. Stafford threw five touchdown passes, Adams caught three of them on eight targets, and the tight ends drew 12 of the 33 targets.

The Giants opened the John Harbaugh era with a 28-20 win over the Cowboys, and Jaxson Dart looked comfortable in Matt Nagy’s offense, completing 23 of 29 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns while adding 54 rushing yards on 11 carries. Cam Skattebo handled 18 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown in his first game back from the dislocated ankle that ended his rookie season, and Malik Nabers caught six passes for 69 yards in his return from a torn ACL. The surprise was Isaiah Likely, who signed from Baltimore this offseason and caught all eight of his targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Devin Singletary is the passing-down back and caught all four of his targets, including a touchdown.
