Hello there! Welcome to the defense streaming column here at 4for4 — I am your host for the 2026 season, Matt Okada. If you haven't read my work (which is generally all over), check out the precursor pieces I wrote last month: Streaming D/ST Works and Here's How to Do It and Tiered D/ST Rankings Based on Early Strength of Schedule. Both will give you a baseline for our goal here: to identify the top fantasy defenses available on most waiver wires every week, all season long.

For reference, we'll be using 50% Yahoo rostership as our benchmark — anything higher will technically be cheating (though it'll probably happen once or twice). Also, the teams will be roughly ordered as I'd rank them for the week, but you can pick and choose at your whim!

Tennessee Titans @ New York Jets

Rostered in 14% of Yahoo leagues

As I mentioned in the early season rankings article, I really like the look of Tennessee's new defense under head coach Robert Saleh. He basically rebuilt the unit in his image, bringing in Jermaine Johnson II, John Franklin-Myers, Solomon Thomas, Alontae Taylor, Tony Adams, and others, most of whom played in Saleh's defenses in New York or San Francisco. But ignore all that, and I'd still love the play this week against Geno Smith. Over the last two years, Smith has the second-most giveaways (33) and has taken the most sacks (105) in the entire NFL. The next-most-sacked QB (Justin Herbert, 95) has 13 fewer turnovers, and the one guy with more turnovers (Sam Darnold, 36) has taken 30 fewer sacks. Until further notice, the Jets are going to be one of our prime targets in this column, and the Titans are readily available on waivers this week.
