9 Fantasy Football Stash Candidates Ahead of Week 6

The waiver wire has started to thin, but that’s exactly when stash season becomes most valuable. As injuries pile up and depth charts start to shake, a few under-the-radar players are stepping into meaningful roles, even if the fantasy box scores haven’t caught up yet. This week’s group features a handful of rookies inching toward expanded workloads, a returning receiver who could immediately climb his team’s depth chart, and a few desperation stashes in evolving backfields.

Hassan Haskins (2%) and Kimani Vidal (1%), RB - Chargers
This is a tough situation, and one I’d prefer to ignore, but I understand that there are league sizes out there where that’s simply not an option. With Omarion Hampton hitting the IR and Najee Harris already out for the season, the Chargers will (presumably) look toward Hassan Haskins and former sixth-round selection, Kimani Vidal, to run their backfield. I say “presumably” because there is a (very) strong chance that the team looks outside the organization, either through free agency or a trade, to find a more concrete solution. Vidal is the younger option of the two but has been hanging out on the practice squad, while Haskins has 64 total rush attempts since being selected by the Titans in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Haskins is the preferred option here, but don’t clear out anything too valuable at this point to get him.
