Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 17: Tyler Shough Could Help Win A Fantasy Championship

It was a big week for quarterbacks with seven of them throwing for at least 300 yards in Week 16. There were also 16 quarterbacks who registered at least two passing touchdowns. That group was led by Brock Purdy, who had five scores through the air.

As we turn our attention towards Week 17, it’s time to bring home a fantasy championship. Streaming the correct quarterback now can be the difference between hoisting the trophy or wondering all offseason what could have been. Luckily, there are some good options available in the majority of leagues.

For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data.

Week 16 Recap

Our best selection from last week was Kirk Cousins, who finished as QB14. While he only threw for 197 yards, he made up for it with three total touchdowns. Working in his favor was Drake London returning for that matchup. With London and Kyle Pitts Sr. in the fold, Cousins has dangerous weapons at his disposal as the Falcons play out the rest of the regular season.

Two of our picks from last week left early with injuries. J.J. McCarthy had a rushing touchdown against the Giants, but was eventually forced out of the matchup with a hand issue. He’ll be facing an uphill battle to play against the Lions on Thursday. Gardner Minshew suffered a season-ending knee injury in a loss to the Titans, which will force the Chiefs to play their third-string quarterback the last two weeks.
