Fantasy Football Trader's Alley Week 12: Players to Buy, Hold, or Sell
Welcome to the Week 12 and final edition of Trader's Alley! I'm your weekly tour guide on the bumpy ride that is trading in fantasy football leagues, here to highlight the most notable Buys, Holds, and Sells each week, powered by 4for4's powerful Trade Evaluator tool. This is our last week of the column in 2025, as most site’s trade deadlines are approaching or have arrived! Thanks for reading for as much of the season as you did, and good luck in the fantasy playoffs!
This column assumes half-PPR, four-point passing touchdowns, and starting rosters with 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 1 FLEX — but you can also change the configurations on the Trade Evaluator tool to fit your league exactly.
Also, since this is our last article of the year and we’re aiming for that postseason run, we’ll also be heavily referencing 4for4’s Playoff aFPA Matchup Planner for context on players’ schedules into December! Let's get into it.
Buy TreVeyon Henderson
Trade Evaluator: RB18 / 31st overall / 100 Trade Value points
If fantasy managers ran the New England Patriots, TreVeyon Henderson would be a locked-and-loaded RB1 rest of season. The only hangup — and your primary “negotiation tool” when attempting to acquire Henderson — is that we cannot trust Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels to feature the dynamic rookie when Rhamondre Stevenson returns. Despite the fact that Henderson logged 243 yards and five touchdowns from scrimmage in the last two games with Stevenson absent. Despite the fact that he has looked more explosive and effective than Stevenson all year. Despite the fact that this franchise drafted the Ohio State product 38th overall in April. There’s always a looming possibility that they return to Stevenson as the 15-carry-a-game plodder, with Henderson keeping an increased but disappointing change-of-pace role.
With that being said, I believe Henderson has earned the starting job, and I believe in taking big risks for big rewards in the pursuit of fantasy championships. Selling Henderson for an RB2 like D’Andre Swift might be the safer play to make the playoffs, but pulling the reverse is how we take home hardware. Oh, and both guys get a playoff schedule that features the Bills, Ravens, and Jets (after a Week 14 bye).
