8 Undervalued Defenders for IDP Fantasy Football Leagues in 2025

A lot has happened around the league since I pushed out my positional tier articles a few weeks back, and this is a great place to capture some of those crucial changes as we enter the heart of fantasy draft season.

For this piece, I'm using my positional rankings compared to the Expert Consensus Rankings on FantasyPros.com. If there's a massive gap between my projection of a player and the "ECR," that's a pretty clear indicator that I value that player more than the general IDP community, and that's how we win.

I've written about a few of these players in other spots this season, but I want to plant my flag on a few of these guys to ensure they're priorities for you come draft day. I'm also going to stay near the top of each position's ADP here so that these recommendations are useful for even the shallowest leagues.

Undervalued Defenders for IDP

Jalen Carter - DL, Philadelphia Eagles

I want to continue to bet on talent, and there's no defensive tackle in the league with more talent than Jalen Carter. To date, he's been a better real football player than IDP asset, but that can change quickly. Carter led all players with 22 pressures during the playoffs, and his 20 quick pressures (pressure in 2.5 seconds or less) ranked third among defensive tackles and 12th among all defensive linemen last season.
