Week 5 IDP Matchups to Exploit & Streaming Options
In this space, the weekly targets will range from individual players and positional groups to entire defensive units. IDP leagues are like snowflakes, so if you have specific questions, jump into our subscriber Discord, find the IDP channel, and tag me with any questions you have.
Some of you play in leagues where all of these players are already owned, and some of you play in IDP leagues where only 3-4 players are rostered on each team, so the players listed below might not even be on your radar.
The goal here is to highlight the game environments and individual matchups that are worth exploring when you're making your waiver claims or start/sit decisions. All of this data feeds into the projections and rankings, so always start there, but again, come find me in our subscriber Discord.

Week 5 IDP Matchups to Exploit
Byes hit for the first time this week, with Kansas City and Carolina off, so check your lineups. Off the top, the Jets and Browns give us a 40.5-point total with two quarterbacks who can't stay upright; Denver gets the best sack matchup on the board against a Chargers offensive line that's still leaking; and both the Patriots and Saints have lines struggling to protect their quarterbacks.
Jets vs. Browns: Both Fronts Feast
Let's start with the Browns' pass rush. The Jets' line is allowing pressure at the fourth-highest rate in the league, and left tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu is the best spot to attack. He's given up 11 pressures and five sacks through four games, and every one of those pressures came in a true pass set, where PFF has him graded at 51.2. Geno Smith has the fourth-worst pressure-to-sack rate in the league through four weeks, at 24.0%.
Jared Verse has underwhelmed to start the season, but he has the best pressure projection in this game, so he's a start. He should get a decent amount of work lined up over Fashau here. Maliek Collins is the DT stream option in DT-required leagues, and he could see a slight snap uptick again with Mason Graham out. His snap share has climbed from 61% to 69% to 77%, and he has 12 pressures on the year.
The Jets' side is a little different. Cleveland's issue is the quarterback, not the line. The Browns have allowed the 10th-fewest pressures in the league and the sixth-fewest in true pass sets, with RT Tytus Howard (13 pressures) the only real soft spot. Deshaun Watson is still taking sacks on 7.8% of his dropbacks, one of the highest rates in the league. David Bailey works off the left edge a lot, so he should see a lot of Howard. Deeper leagues could chase Will McDonald after his snap share jumped from the mid-30s to 71% last week due to some of the injuries up front for the Jets.
