IDP Waiver Wire Week 6: Top Pickups & Adds

We're on to Week 6, with four more bye-week teams (Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, and Vikings) to navigate. This is when your depth gets tested, and those stale cross-your-fingers-and-hope-they-figure-it-out assets need to be looked at through a different lens.

I always advise being aggressive on the waiver wire early in the year, and that gets tested more in the next few weeks. Anchoring to priors instead of seeing what actually happened is even more dangerous.

My intention here is to cater to a wide variety of leagues every week. IDP leagues are like snowflakes, so if you have specific questions, jump into our subscriber Discord, find the IDP channel, and tag me with any questions you have. Some of you play in leagues where all of these players are already owned, and some of you play in IDP leagues where only 3-4 players are rostered on each team, so the players listed below might not even be on your radar; don't be afraid to reach out with specific questions. For now, expect at least one recommendation for shallow, medium, and deep leagues.

IDP Waiver Wire Week 6

Defensive Linemen

Kingsley Enagbare (DE) - New York Jets

David Bailey had his first big breakout game in Week 5 against the Browns, and he should be rostered everywhere but the shallowest of leagues at this point. But it was his teammate, Kingsley Enagbare, who caught my attention. It's been a bit of a four-man rotation for the Jets at edge so far, and while Will McDonald and Joseph Ossai still played, their sub-40% snap rates were well behind Bailey (83.1%) and Enagbare (78.5%). Enagbare was a solid per-snap producer with Green Bay last season, so I'm excited to see him get more work. In deeper leagues, I'll be looking to add him this week, hoping this snap share is here to stay for now.

Akheem Mesidor (DE) - Los Angeles Chargers

It's the right time for the Chargers to ramp up snaps for their young guys. There's a low-hanging joke there about Mesidor, but I'll leave it alone since we're here to say nice things about him after his Week 5 performance against the Broncos. This is more of a deeper league look, with Mesidor's snap increase still keeping him under a 60% snap rate, but it's likely the start of a trend up, and he showed a three-down skill set at the University of Miami, which makes him appealing.
