Connor Allen: 5 Week 7 Player Props I'm Betting
As the legalization of sports betting continues to explode, more and more people are diving into a new way of speculating on sports. For those just starting off, I broke down some of the basics in my gambling 101 piece. Among every category of bets, player props remain the most beatable in the long run. Last year, I hit 59% of my bets for +35 units on the season. The two years prior were much of the same, hitting 57% and 58%, respectively, of my player props for profitable seasons. I have improved every year and think that trend will continue with new tools. I’ve already fired off a handful of bets for Week 7 and will be adding more here. Week 6 Recap: Week 6 marked our third straight profitable week! After waking up in the bushes alongside a dingy highway after Week 3, we are now in a much better spot heading into Week 7. Despite the positive vibes, we never fail to escape without our share of ridiculous moments. Allen Lazard caught all three of his targets, busting our bet of under 2.5 receptions. Chipotle couldn’t stop A.J. Brown’s monstrous second half after he left the first half with zero receptions on just one target. Under 4.5 receptions at plus money was looking fantastic. Of course, he went on to finish the game with seven receptions (on 9 targets), accounting for nearly half of Ryan Tannehill’s 18 total completions.
