Streaming Tight Ends: Week 15 Targets
Virtual high fives, ladies and gents. We made it, despite the ridiculousness at tight end this season. Either you’re here because you advanced deeper into the postseason or you’re still fighting in a league with later playoffs, but either way, let’s wade through the best tight end options for Week 15.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season continues to progress and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.
In Week 14, my two best streamers were Logan Thomas and Cole Kmet, whose 7.3 and 6.1 half-PPR points finished the week as TE14 and TE20, respectively. So far, 4for4’s optimal streamer boasts 185.3 total points—good enough for the overall fantasy TE2 on the season.
In order to provide advice you can actually implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Irv Smith Jr./Kyle Rudolph (Vikings) vs. Bears
Coming back from a groin injury and with Kyle Rudolph sidelined with his own foot issue, Irv Smith Jr. led the Vikings in receiving yards with 63 and had a score on Sunday. The second-year tight end now has three touchdowns in his last two spot starts. He has a great matchup this week against Chicago.
The Bears sit 29th in aFPA to tight ends in 2020, allowing a decent 12.8 half-PPR points to the position weekly. Smith Junior's floor won’t be as high if Rudolph enters the conversation and is a go, but with the lack of decent options at tight end, Smith Jr. is still in the streaming mix for Week 15.
Smith Jr. is rostered in 6% of Yahoo! leagues with Rudolph sitting on 14% of squads.
