The Colts are expected to place Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Fantasy Impact:

Taylor's season is over after he suffered a right high-ankle sprain during Saturday's loss to the Vikings. As the story said, in a corresponding move, Indianapolis is promoting Wilkins to the 53-man roster, where he joins a backfield corps including Moss and Jackson. Jackson has carried the load before for the Colts when Taylor was out, but the team is likely in evaluation mode so all three backs could factor into the workload.

Colts star RB Jonathan Taylor was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain sustained in Saturday’s game against the Vikings. He’s still meeting with doctors, but it’s considered highly unlikely that he’ll play again this season.

Bad timing for fantasy managers, but Taylor went down early in Week 15's embarrassing Colts loss. Jackson and Moss would end up splitting time, with each running a very similar amount of routes, while Moss ran 24 times for 81 yards while Jackson went 13-for-55. It won't be easy to trust either option in the fantasy semi-finals.
