Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith will miss Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers due to a hamstring injury, according to Zach Heilprin of 96.7 FM The Zone in Madison, Wisconsin. Smith was subsequently place on IR according to Amie Just of NOLA.com.

Fantasy Impact:

The Saints receiving corps looks ugly without Smith who himself was a boom/bust candidate. Deonte Harris and Lil'Jordan Humphrey stand to see the biggest increase in snaps without Smith.

Saints QB Jameis Winston latest to rave about WR Marquez Callaway

“I think [Marquez Callaway]’s just an incredible football player,” Jameis Winston said. “I mean, the guy was undrafted, right? Who missed out on that guy? I’m happy that we were able to get him. It speaks volumes of our organization and how they see talent."

Fantasy Impact:

The Saints have been without wide receivers Thomas and Smith this summer due to injuries, but Callaway, you can argue, has been one of the most talked about WRs in summer camp this season - maybe even right up there with the Jets Elijah Moore. Callaway played on all 10 of the team's first 10 snaps as well, according to some of Tuesday's tweets. Callaway probably isn't an unknown anymore. But he's ranked 55th on our WR list and is available late in drafts. At this point, he certainly looks like he's worth the late-round pick.

Fantasy Impact:

Callaway caught a red-zone TD from Jameis Winston on a quick comeback route in front of Marshon Lattimore on Monday — after catching a TD from Taysom Hill in red-zone drills Saturday. With Michael Thomas out for a while, the order of the Saints WRs could be anyone's guess this season. Smith is our highest ranked Saint WR, but Harris and Callaway look like they are going to be in the mix for snaps and targets.
