Bills RBs LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Chris Ivory (shoulder) took limited practice reps Wednesday. If either player can get healthy enough to play it’s bad news for Keith Ford, who is in line for a large workload if both McCoy and Ivory sit.
The Bills continue to shuffle their RBs. Murphy got the RB1 duties last week after McCoy and Ivory were unable to go. When Murphy went down, Ford took over. Ford could be back in action this week as the team's RB1 but it's possible McCoy and/or Ivory could be back this week as well. The Bills take on the Patriots.
Ford and Murphy were getting more time with McCoy and Ivory both out in Week 15. Ford could be in store for those touches now if McCoy and Ivory remain out of action for Week 16. The Bills play New England in Week 16.
Ian Rapoport reported Murphy dislocated his elbow and it popped back in while he was still on the field, per a source. With Ivory and McCoy out, Murphy pretty much split time with Ford in the backfield. His future time and workload depends on if McCoy and Ivory are able to play going forward.
