Saints TE Jared Cook (groin, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 4. Cook is going to miss Week 4 with a groin injury, so Trautman should see his snaps and routes rise. He posted 70-916-14 as a senior at Dayton, so he was a touchdown machine. It's possible that the Saints turn to the more experienced Josh Hill, but Trautman has run more routes thus far and figures to get first crack at Cook's snaps. According to Player Profiler, his best comparable is Dallas Goedert.
Despite Jared Cook not playing, Hill still only saw three targets against the Bears. The good news is he caught all three of his targets and turned one into a touchdown. And the even better news is that the Cardinals are giving up the most points per game to opposing tight ends this season, so the opportunity is there for Hill to score another touchdown with Cook questionable at best for Sunday.
