Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Friday WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (foot) will play Sunday against the Cowboys.

Fantasy Impact: 

JJAW was limited Thursday but is ready to go and the Eagles need all the help they can get with how limited they are at wide receiver. Alshon Jeffery is done for the season, Nelson Agholor could be shut down and DeSean Jackson can't return until the Divisional Playoffs. Pederson said they were limiting Arcega-Whiteside as a precaution for Sunday. Still, JJAW is low on the pecking order behind both tight ends and perhaps both Miles Sanders and Boston Scott and even, arguably, Greg Ward.

Not exactly a surprise but source with knowledge of Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery’s injury status says his season is over.

Fantasy Impact: 

It was trending toward this since Jeffery was seen being carted off on Monday night. Garafolo said they’re still gathering opinions about what exactly is wrong with his foot but he’s done for the year. The Eagles WR position is in dire need with three games remaining. Agholor was inactive on MNF and Arcega-Whiteside was seen limping off the field in overtime with what looked like a hamstring injury.

The Eagles have waived receiver Jordan Matthews.

Related players: Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, Mack Hollins, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward.

Fantasy Impact: 

With Matthews gone, the Eagles must feel good about getting Jeffery and Agholor back sooner than later. But Ward also factored into the picture in Week 12 against the Seahawk and the team may just feel better about Ward vs. Matthews at this point. The Eagles WR situation is a mess and QB Carson Wentz has suffered especially as of late as a result.
