Rodgers entered the NFL as a Falcons fifth-round pick in 2011 and he spent the last three years with the Buccaneers, so the Saints had plenty of opportunities to scout him before signing him to their roster.
Rodgers’s arrival meant the end of Kelley‘s brief stay with the team. Kelley signed with the team early last week, but was dropped from the roster to make room for Rodgers. He’ll join Kamara and Murray in the New Orleans backfield.

Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones (hamstring, out) took limited practice reps all week and is out for Week 11. Peyton Barber will continue to see most of the carries with Jacquizz Rodgers chipping in as a receiver.
Jones was at least trending up over the past few weeks but this will really hurt his re-draft league value. It's good news for Barber owners as he's been producing fantasy numbers as of late. Rodgers will continue to work on the passing downs.
While Jones was a popular rookie pick this season, looks like owners are going to have to stash him for now. This is certainly good news, however, for Barber owners who may have even drafted him after Jones came off the board.
