Saints QB Drew Brees will start Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Fantasy Impact: 

Happy Friday! We think. If Brees is feeling as close to 100% as he can considering the amount of injured ribs he was dealing with, then he could be in the QB1 picture against a susceptible Chiefs defense. There is plenty to be concerned about with a QB that needs to be able to have his torso functioning to complete passes downfield.

The Saints designated quarterback Drew Brees to return from injured reserve Wednesday as he recovers from multiple broken ribs.

Fantasy Impact: 

Head Coach Sean Payton was evasive with reporters but did make comments suggesting it will be difficult for Brees to return to game action in Week 15. Today's designation means Brees can return to practice, so we will have to wait and see what his participation level is once he's back on the field. Until Brees returns, Taysom Hill will start at quarterback for New Orleans and is a strong fantasy option given his rushing upside.

Saints QB Drew Brees (ribs) is uncertain for Week 15 against the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact: 

Rapoport notes the last time Brees attempted to throw the football did not go as well as he had hoped. He is still dealing with pain. Rapoport says the Saints are not in a rush to bring Brees back as the team has not lost a game since turning to Taysom Hill at quarterback. This week of practice will be very interesting to watch as New Orleans prepares for a possible Super Bowl preview against Kansas City after they meet Philadelphia in Week 14.

Saints starting quarterback Drew Brees is eligible to return from IR this week but likely will not return until Week 15.

Fantasy Impact: 

Brees is coming back from multiple rib fractures and a collapsed lung. Taysom Hill has held down the quarterback position in Brees's absence and has performed well for fantasy purposes while guiding the Saints to a 3-0 record in his starts. With Brees looking like a longshot for Week 14, Hill will be a QB1 once again in a matchup with the Eagles.
