CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 @ Green Bay Packers

Allen Robinson said Thursday he expects to play this week against the Packers. At this point in the season, Robinson owners might not even care that he's returning. Robinson has had an extremely disappointing season, averaging 3.3 receptions for 37.7 yards with one total touchdown all year. And this will be his first game back from a hamstring injury. He did have one of his better games this season against the Packers earlier in the year, posting a 4-53 stat line. But Robinson should really just be viewed as a low-end WR3 or WR4 in Week 14.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Baltimore Ravens

UPDATE: Allen Robinson has been ruled out for Week 11 so do not start him.

Allen Robinson finished with 68 yards in the Bears' last outing, which is a season-high for him. It's not too surprising considering Justin Fields also finished with a season-high of 291 pass yards. A-Rob's problem this season hasn't been his own play, it's been the Bears' lacking passing offense that's averaged around 170 pass yards per game under Justin Fields. Still, a 4-68-0 game from Robinson isn't even that great. It's been a disappointing year for the veteran who is averaging 3.3-37.7 per game with just one TD on the season. To make matters worse, he gets a tough matchup this week against the Ravens who have allowed the second-fewest receptions to receivers this year. Robinson should be viewed as a WR3 in Week 11.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Unfortunately for fantasy owners, Allen Robinson did not get moved at the NFL trade deadline. So he's stuck in Chicago with a dead passing game, where the Bears are averaging just over 150 pass yards with Justin Fields starting. As Robinson owners are well aware, the veteran receiver has struggled to do much with Fields, averaging 3.0-35.3-0.0 in the rookie's starts. Perhaps even worse than the lack of production is the lack of targets. A-Rob averaged 9.4 targets last season and is averaging just 4.8 targets in Fields' starts. We have a hard time seeing this changing, leaving A-Rob to be a WR4 in Week 9 in a matchup vs. the Steelers.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. San Francisco 49ers

The NFL trade deadline is almost near, and a deal to another team would be the best-case scenario for Allen Robinson at this point. He's struggled to get much going this year as Justin Fields has averaged less than 150 pass yards in his starts. Robinson hit a new low last week, finishing with a season-low 16 yards on two receptions. It's the third game this year Robinson's finished with just two catches in a game. He's setting career lows in receptions (3.3) and receiving yards (35.7) per game in a season. We don't anticipate things getting much better this week against the 49ers who are 16th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to WRs. A-Rob should be viewed as a WR4 this week.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Allen Robinson saw seven targets last week, which is the second-most he's seen in a game so far this year. He also finished with his second-most receiving yards in a game this year, catching four passes for 53 yards. It's been a disappointing year for A-Rob who has struggled due to the Bears not throwing the ball enough for Robinson to make an impact. That could change this week in a favorable matchup against the Bucs who are 30th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. Robinson has been disappointing so far, but he should be a solid WR2 play in Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Green Bay Packers

It's been a brutal year for Allen Robinson managers, who at this point are desperately hoping for a trade to a team that will actually pass the ball. Robinson is doing the best he can, finishing 4-32 on five targets in Week 5. But it's hard to put up much production when Justin Fields is averaging less than 10 completions per game in his three starts. A-Rob has only topped 50 yards once this season, and has just one touchdown so far while averaging 3.4 receptions for 36.2 yards. He's only seen more than five targets twice, and one of those games came in Week 1 when Andy Dalton was starting. A-Rob gets a decent matchup this week, but we're more worried about his role than matchups at this point. He'll be a WR3 play in Week 6.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Las Vegas Raiders

Allen Robinson finished 3-63 last week, which is a season-high in receiving yards for him. The frustrating part about Robinson is that he's still talented, it's just hard to produce in an offense that throws the ball as little as Chicago. The Bears are 31st in pass attempts, 31st in pass completions, 32nd in passing yards, and have just one passing touchdown all year. We expected Fields to boost Robinson's production, but instead, it's done the opposite. Robinson drops to a WR3 play this week in a tough matchup against the Raiders. Las Vegas has only given up one receiving touchdown to a receiver so far this year, and the seventh-fewest yards.
