Cardinals WR Jalen Brooks (wrist) done for season

There won’t be a quarterback change in Las Vegas this week.

Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak opened his Monday press conference by saying that Kirk Cousins will be the team’s starter for their Week 8 game against the Jets.

The announcement came a day after Kubiak said the team is “thinking about everything to fix our problems” when asked about turning to Mendoza. The story added Kubiak said, “There is no controversy there. He’s playing at a very high level. The story said that Kubiak did say Mendoza is “going to play at some point,” but reiterated that Cousins is playing well and that the Raiders are “in the hunt” with a 3-4 record on the season.

Sean Payton on Jonah Coleman: "Like anything else, I think it’s something you earn and he’s done a good job of that.”

Payton added about Coleman: "He played well. The touches he had were explosive." This is looking like the dreaded three-headed monster at RB for the Broncos. Coleman did lead the way in touches for the Broncos, but Dobbins and Harvey had their share as well. Dobbins scored a rushing touchdown while Harvey had a big catch for a score. Harvey seems most likely to keep his job as a pass catcher and passing down back while Dobbins and Coleman could be more of a hot hand situation in terms of splitting carries. This will be a tough situation week to week for fantasy owners of any of these backs until we get some kind of clarity, but it's easy to see how Coleman seems to be trending up.

The Seahawks will open up Jadarian Price’s 21-day practice window this week, per Macdonald. No word on his status for MNF vs. the Bears. On Zach Charbonnet, he said they’re still sticking to their plan and again stopped well short of saying he’ll play vs. Chicago.

The Seahawks RB room is about to get a lot more crowded. Wilson is coming off a nice game against the Chiefs with a 24-100-1 line but it's a matter of time before Price and Charbonnet will be back, and they seem destined to lead the backfield. It may be a nice problem to have for the Seahawks, but a lot will need to be sorted out for fantasy owners. Price also had fumbling issues before getting hurt which will make things interesting. You can probably expect Charbonnet to be eased back into a workload so it's possible Price and Wilson have some kind of split until Charbonnet is up to speed. Wilson seems the most likely to get phased out of a workload.
