GPP Stacks, Fades and Leverage Plays: Week 8

We are back to a full slate in Week 8 with only two teams on a bye, which expands the number of players in my pool until I can cut further down closer to Sunday. A trend I have noticed that has been a flaw in my process is giving too much weight to implied totals.

A trend I have pointed out every single weekend is how bad the Lions have been against the deep ball, being the only team to give up over 100 yards a game to the deep ball. This weekend they take on the Eagles, who have only attempted about three 20 yard throws a game. DeVonta Smith is the most utilized deep, wide receiver, and Quez Watkins has doubled the number of 20+ yard routes as Jalen Reagor.

The Washington Football Team has given up three or more passing touchdowns to four different quarterbacks this year which ties the Falcons for most in the NFL. This week they play Teddy Bridgewater and a Broncos team that gets back Jerry Jeudy.

The Seattle Seahawks have given up two performances where a running back has run for over 100 yards and a league-leading six games in which a running back had five or more receptions. James Robinson has had 19 or more touches in four straight games and is in a prime spot this weekend.
