NFL Preseason DFS Picks: Saturday, Aug. 12
Below is a breakdown of the top DFS picks in each of the three games of the Saturday Week 1 Preseason DFS slate.
Titans @ Jets
TEN Passing Game: QB Alex Tanney is expected to get the most time under center tonight after Marcus Mariota starts; Matt Cassel isn’t expected to play much/at all. WR Tre McBride, 92nd percentile SPARQ/89th percentile Speed Score 2015 pick with nine NFL games under his belt, is the best mix of talent and opportunity at receiver. The 6-foot-4 UDFA WR Mekale McKay as also made camp noise. Athletic third-round TE Jonnu Smith should get snaps. 2017 Third-round WR Taywan Taylor is talented, but the concern is playing time.
TEN Running Game: Seventh-round RB Khalfani Muhammad is a 170-pound, 4.40 runner who has a good shot at making the roster; he should get decent time at RB and also as a returner.
