Turner holding out hope he'll play Sunday

Browns plan to sign free agent running back Royce Freeman to the practice squad.

Freeman did pretty well when he saw action with the Rams toward the end of last season. He was with Dallas this summer where he drew some hype, and for about a week the team had us convinced he may see significant action for the Cowboys. However, he was eventually released.

Packers are placing rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd on injured reserve due to an ankle injury.

Lloyd dealt with a hamstring injury leading up to the season and has now injured his ankle enough to be placed on IR, and he'll miss the next four games. The team did sign Brooks from their practice squad but Wilson looks to be the backup to Jacobs.

Giants are signing veteran kicker Greg Joseph to their active roster from the Detroit Lions practice squad.

Gano was injured in Week 2 against the Commanders. The Lions had recently signed Joseph to the practice squad to push Jake Bates.
