Texans open practice window for WR Tank Dell

Bears head coach Ben Johnson tells Jeff Joniak on ESPN1000 about the starting quarterback for Week 5 in Green Bay: "Tyson Bagent will be the guy. We'll go from there. We're in good shape."

Related players: Caleb Williams, Case Keenum

Bagent was 25 for 34 for 268 and an interception against the Jets in Week 4, and was good enough for the Bears to get the win. Despite Keenum having a better statistical performance against the Eagles in Week 3, it's clear the Bears want the 26-year-old Bagent as their QB2 over 38-year-old Keenum until Williams gets back. The Bears travel to Green Bay in Week 5 in a game that was moved to the early window. Bagent should have a good chance to put up QB2 numbers against a Packers defense that has largely struggled this season.

Kyle Monangai has a thumb injury. He said he would have to get it looked at Monday. Did not know how he did it either.

"I couldn't even tell you. I just looked down at my hand and I said, oh, that hurts."

Cronin's post went on to say that Monangai's last play was a third down run that came up just shy of the sticks. She said Monangai exited the field with 4:08 to play and didn't come back to the game. Cronin added what may be some good news in that Monangai spoke in a press conference setting afterwards. Most times if an injury is really significant, the team won't make the player available. We'll have to see if Monangai is able to get on the practice field this week. Signs are at least pointing in the right direction, but things can certainly change.

Receiver Tyreek Hill could be signing with an NFL team (possibly the Chiefs) very soon. There’s an issue beyond the status of his knee that could impact his availability.

Per the NFL, Hill remains under an active Personal Conduct Policy review.

The investigation was sparked by the divorce filing initiated by his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, the story said. She has made specific allegations of domestic violence against Hill, the story adds. Hill’s history complicates the situation. Past incidents, including a 2015 guilty plea to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in an incident involving his then-pregnant girlfriend, could result in an enhanced suspension — if the league finds a Personal Conduct Policy violation in connection with Vaccaro’s allegations, the story points out. As the story adds, there is rarely a timeline for these kind of investigations, but if Hill signs it could obviously move things to the front burner - as the story puts it.
